Whilst Ben Sanders has written 4 books previous to this, this is the first book from this author that I have read. Whilst I generally prefer books that aren't so action focussed, I do sometimes enjoy the more Lee Child or Harlan Coben action infused crime novels, and I will readily agree that this book kept me entertained from the get go.
The Stakes is a fast paced, suspenseful novel that keeps you reading from page 1. I felt some of the twists were predictable, however, this did not stop me reading as fast as I could, and I'm happy to recommend this book to anyone who loves a good crime book with plenty of action. Definitely pleased to be reading a Kiwi author! 🙂
